In occasione dell’evento “Be Yourself” di Alfa Romeo, che sostiene le diversità e l’inclusione sociale, N38E13 e Alessandro Librio presentano il progetto “Blind Music”.
Blind Music è un progetto di ricerca sul suono che pone in relazione e in dialogo la tecnologia Alfa Romeo con l’essere umano e con le sue diversità e specificità.
Il canto tradizionale giapponese eseguito da una giovane non vedente è la traccia su cui si intona “Blind Music”. Le varie inflessioni del canto sono armonizzate con i movimenti di accelerazione del motore.
Autore del video è l’artista, musicista, compositore Alessandro Librio. Il video è composto da due scene. In una è l’auto protagonista, guidata/suonata dall’artista. Nell’altra protagonista è la cantante giapponese non vedente Watanabe Chihiro.
La ricerca sonora sulle prestazioni del motore Alfa Romeo esalta la tecnologia in termini di trasmissione di emozioni uniche, che procederanno oltre i limiti convenzionali del suono e della musica, dentro i confini della tradizione giapponese.
Il video mostra le possibilità di una talentuosa cantante non vedente di determinare, con la propria abilità canora, la guida armonica del motore Alfa Romeo. Una possibilità di guida, negata dalla natura, diventa possibilità oltre i limiti, in un’artistica dimensione immaginifica.

During “Be Yourself” event by Alfa Romeo in Tokyo (Japan), that supports diversity and inclusivity, N38E13 and Alessandro Librio present the “Blind Music” project, showen at the Italian Institute of Culture in Tokyo. It is a sound research project that relates the Alfa Romeo technology to the human being, with its diversity and specificity.
The traditional Japanese song performed by a blind young Japanese is the track on which Blind Music is intoned. The various inflections of the song are harmonized by the motor acceleration movements.
Author of the video is the artist, musician, composer Alessandro Librio. The video consists of two scenes. In one is the car protagonist, guided/played by the artist. In the other protagonist is the blind singer Watanabe Chihiro. Sound research on the performance of the Alfa Romeo engine enhances the technology in terms of transmitting unique emotions, which will proceed beyond the conventional limits of sound and music, within the confines of the Japanese tradition.
The video shows the possibilities of a talented blind singer to determine, with her singing skills, the harmonic guide of Alfa Romeo. A possibility of driving, denied by nature, becomes possibility beyond the limits, in an artistic imaginative dimension.
